Discover our 4 pillars of research and development

Health

Technology evolves for the well-being of people!

Our research and development in the field of health is focused on current themes that are fundamental to our society, such as: mental health, physical health & sport, psychology & digital tools.

STRESS AND RELAXATION

Use of virtual reality to offer the user physical contact with his virtual environment, with the aim of having a positive impact on his period of relaxation.

WELL-BEING AND WORK

Application to create and test digital supports: reliable, to establish a diagnosis of Quality of Life within a company, and relevant, to prevent, accompany and develop the well-being at work of its employees.

STIGMATISATION AND MENTAL ILLNESS

Visualisation of the stigmatisation of patients suffering from a mental illness by health professionals and the various consequences generated.

IA & THERAPEUTIC EDUCATION

Digitalisation to improve patient follow-up, to individualise it using tools based on Artificial Intelligence (logical description of psychological and pedagogical principles) and, thus, to maintain motivation via a playful protocol (personal challenges and follow-up interviews).

GETTING BACK INTO SHAPE

Following neurological or muscular disorders, some people find their mobility and autonomy limited. This project, conducted in partnership with coaches, aims to exploit body-tracking technologies and augmented reality. The aim is to enable people to practice fitness exercises at home, receiving immediate feedback on their performance.

PROMOTING RUGBY

Experiencing something for yourself is one of the strongest ways to feel a commitment to an activity. This project proposes to use the immersion and sense of presence provided by virtual reality to take a user on a journey as a professional rugby player during a penalty kick.

MOTIVATION AND COMMITMENT

Based on theories and models from Cognitive and Social psychologies (eg, theories of fundamental needs and self-determination) and on Lojelis’ skills in Artificial Intelligence, this axis is devoted to the proposal, creation and evaluation of digital media: mascot, advice sheets, mini-games, etc. to motivate an individual to engage (more) in a task and to take into account the result of his engagement.

Currently, we are working on maintaining the motivation and commitment of a patient in his medical follow-up recovery process. In addition, our approach can also be extended to other areas, for example for an employee in his professional daily activity or an athletic during his training.

Environment

Artificial intelligence and the environment: making better use of our resources!

Artificial intelligence and the environment: making better use of our resources!

Our environmental approach aims to improve the management of our water resources. This is a problem that has been identified for years, but for which there are few solutions on the market today. Our aim is to use our business expertise and research to propose innovative solutions to address this issue, which is increasingly present in our society.

The interest of using Machine Learning algorithms in this context is:

Mobility

Digital technology for a smoother and more responsible mobility!

Sustainable mobility is becoming increasingly important in the consciousness of users. Numerous solutions for all types of vehicles are currently being studied. For bikes or cars, we propose solutions in co-sharing for an intelligent use of the means of transport. However, always looking to the future, we also propose a solution for hydrogen vehicles, the future vehicles of tomorrow.

In order to predict this new hydrogen market, we propose long-term research and development innovations using AI. The interest of using artificial intelligence in this context is to:

FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF HYDROGEN

By improving exchanges between the various stakeholders (vehicle manufacturer, hydrogen supplier and end user)

OPTIMISING THE USE OF VEHICLES

By calculating the ideal route for the user and optimising hydrogen refill points

DEMOCRATISE THE USE OF HYDROGEN

By reducing the fear factors linked to the use of hydrogen and facilitating its daily use

Artificial intelligence in our research and development

Artificial intelligence is at the heart of our research and development programmes: machine learning and text mining feed the solutions provided by Lojelis.

The use of AI goes as far as the detection of emotions!

The interest of this line of research is to make data speak, as it is becoming increasingly important in all fields.

The objectives of this area are:

  • to analyse the context, the data and the problematic of each project
  • to specify the algorithm(s) to be implemented from among the hundreds of existing algorithms, depending on the problem, the data and the needs
  • analyse the results and visualise them in a format that is easy to understand, interpret and use

A lot of information is stored in text format (Word, PDF, etc.). The problem with this data is that it is unstructured and therefore not usable.

The objective of this axis is to be able to extract, structure and exploit unstructured or semi-structured textual data such as prescriptions and medical reports, CVs sent to the HR department and, of course, all textual data from forums and social networks.

As a common platform for solving logical, combinatorial and neuro-symbolic problems

As a logic programming formalism (symbolic AI), associated with powerful computing tools (solvers), ASP has reached a degree of maturity relevant to industrialists.

The objective of our work is:

  • to study the hybridisation (combination) of the Neural Network and ASP approaches in order to take advantage of the best of both worlds
  • to write an efficient ASP program is still a difficult task for an industrial expert without the help of an academic expert. Studying these obstacles and proposing solutions will allow a real industrial use of ASP

It has been established that emotions are at the centre of our decision-making, our behaviour and certain pathologies. It is therefore important to identify them, and even to try to control them.

Emotions are expressed through different modalities, for example, facial expression, voice intonation, gestures, etc. None of these modalities taken separately is dominant; on the contrary, it seems that they must be merged, corroborated, prioritised...

The objective of this topic is to propose artificial intelligence-based approaches for the detection and automatic recognition of emotions, more particularly for facial, vocal and textual modalities.
